When one of Huldah's descendants, Larry Guyton, remodeled his home one year, he discovered letters, deeds, and Civil War papers. He also discovered the leather-bound book shown below. Inside, someone wrote all the names of her son Anthony D. Brisson's children with Comfort Hester. Thanks to Larry's discovery, we now know all nine of Huldah's grandchildren, along with their dates of birth.
I am descended from two of Anthony's sons, Anthony Brisson, Jr, and Isham Brisson. Both were my great-great-grandfathers. If you are one of their descendants and wish to continue researching our French heritage, there are plenty of resources available.
